Request a Project
The first step in getting any project started is to contact the branch chief, Richard DeVries, at Richard_DeVries@fws.gov. Richard will let you know when his staff can begin work on your project, and discuss time frames, costs, and other details particular to your project.
Normally, three prerequisites must be met before NCTC can begin any work on your project:
- First, if you do not currently work at NCTC, you must coordinate with your 'regional publications coordinator' to make sure your project cannot be accomplished within your own region or office. Most customers usually ask NCTC do their projects because their region doesn't have the resources, or is unable to meet their deadlines or other requirements.
- Second, you must provide a copy of a completed approval form for the type of project you're having done. Print products, like brochures, folders, posters, booklets, etc. require form:
3-550 Publications Approval Request and Control Document
Displays and exhibits require form:
DI-552 Exhibit Production and Authorization Request.
- And last, you must provide a copy of a completed acquisition request to cover labor and, if applicable, materials costs. A cost code has to be indicated, and the appropriate fund certification and approval signatures must be present.
